Movin' Out

For you city dwellers, you know that packing up an apartment is almost as bad as Chinese water torture. We managed to pack up with the help of Luc's parents and friends. The last of our worldly possessions were crammed into my GTI. Dang, that car fits alot of junk! There was hardly any room for us in the car! Our "last meal" in 57A South Crescent Circuit was Pad Thai from Rhodee in Brookline--by far the best Thai in the city. We were sad to leave our little apt where we knew all of our neighbors. Our landlord Banu wanted to throw us a going away party but time seemed to just slip away. We said bye to "the Bolivians" who lived upstairs and let me borrow some of their books. I left Oliver a book of short stories by Gabriel Garcia Marquez and he was touched by the gesture. We'll miss Brighton a ton!

Bye Bye Boston! September 20, 2008

What better way to say goodbye to Beantown, than a night out at Lucky's? This place always has the best vibe, cool crowds and bottomless drinks. Southie is so under-rated for their bars! There was a healthy serving of tomfoolery and shenanigans to boot. A gaggle of dudes were randomly taking their clothes off throughout the night. Everyone was in rare (or usual) form--especially Luc fresh from his buddy Brian's bachelor paHTY! We were psyched that all of our friends could make it out that night. We even had a surprise appearance from my NYC friend B-dad and a tiny fairy called Tinkerbell. We tried to rally for late night Karaoke but lost steam sometime around 2:30 am. I lost my earrings, Luc thought he lost his wallet, but amazingly enough, we found a way to keep a shred of dignity.
We'll miss these late nights w/our best pals & fam...
